Cleveland @ Washington
Team Totals: Commanders 20.5, Browns 19.5
Since ending his 11-game suspension, Deshaun Watson has completed just 57.7% of his passes for 175.8 yards per game and a 2:3 TD-to-INT ratio. Watson’s fantasy finishes in his four Browns starts are QB30 (@ HOU), QB14 (@ CIN), QB21 (vs. BAL), and QB20 (vs. NO). Watson’s to-date performance has been wholly undeserving of even fringe fantasy QB1/2 consideration, even against a middling Commanders pass defense. … The Browns have shown no concern over Nick Chubb’s alleged foot issue; his 24 carries in Week 16’s loss to New Orleans were Chubb’s second most all year, while Chubb wasn’t even listed on this week’s injury report. Chubb is 151 yards and one touchdown shy of new career highs. He’s mired in a four-game scoreless drought with Watson under center but does have 80-plus yards in three of those four contests. Chubb is still a TD-dependent RB1/2 who now catches a Commanders defense allowing just 4.1 yards per carry and the league’s sixth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Washington largely bottled up Christian McCaffrey last week, limiting him to 15/46/1 on the ground and 2/12/0 receiving. … Kareem Hunt hasn’t hit paydirt since Week 7 and has 15 rushing yards or fewer in four of the Browns’ last seven games. Simply unplayable in fantasy, Hunt has topped 18 receiving yards once in that span.
