His supporting cast compromised, Herbert is a matchup-driven QB1 option at this point. … We can stay exuberantly confident in Austin Ekeler, who’s averaged 129.5 total yards and hit paydirt eight times over his last four games. As none of the Chargers’ backup running backs have stepped forward to earn meaningful work, Ekeler played a season-high 77% of the Bolts’ pre-bye Week 7 offensive snaps against the Seahawks and has handled 19-plus touches in four straight appearances.
