Washington @ Dallas
Team Totals: Cowboys 28, Commanders 26.5
Jayden Daniels’ individual Week 7 outlook is boosted by Washington’s large team total in a potential shootout against a Cowboys team surrendering the NFL’s second-most points per game (30.7). Working against Daniels are the absences of No. 1 WR Terry McLaurin (quad) and No. 3 WR Noah Brown (groin, I.R.), while Deebo Samuel (heel, questionable) barely practiced all week, and Zach Ertz (shoulder, questionable) was downgraded on Friday. Daniels is still talented enough — and Dallas’ defense is bad enough — to be valued as a shoo-in QB1, but it’s fair to question Daniels’ ceiling with such a short-handed supporting cast. … Enemy running backs have trampled the Cowboys for a combined 139/657/4 (4.7 YPC) rushing line, while Jacory Croskey-Merritt has iced Chris Rodriguez Jr. as Washington’s clear-cut early-down RB1. In Week 6’s loss to Chicago, “Bill” out-snapped Rodriguez 43 to 1. We need to keep an eye on Croskey-Merritt’s ball security — he’s lost a fumble in consecutive games — but he’s earned upside RB2 treatment in this plus draw.
