The Commanders are sticking with Sam Howell behind center even after he was removed for Jacoby Brissett late in Week 15’s blowout loss to the Rams. Howell has been atrocious lately, going 82-of-138 (59%) passing for 785 yards (5.7 YPA) and a 2:6 TD-to-INT ratio with 12 sacks absorbed over his last four games. Howell could be on a short Week 16 leash. Returning home after last Sunday’s embarrassing blowout loss to Miami, the Jets’ D/ST is set up for success. … In Brian Robinson’s (hamstring) ongoing absence, the Commanders figure to turn back to a three-way RBBC of Antonio Gibson, Chris Rodriguez, and Jonathan Williams at The Meadowlands. Gibson led the unit in Week 15 snaps (47%) but was out-touched by interior banger Rodriguez (10 to 9), while Williams siphoned a surprising 22% playing-time clip off the end of the backfield against the Rams. Gibson and Rodriguez are fringe flex options here. Both would get meaningful boosts, however, if Williams (concussion) does not get cleared to play.
Terry McLaurin banked his first 100-yard game of the year in Week 15’s loss to the Rams, although his 29-yard TD was delivered by Brissett in garbage time, and the Jets have given up the fewest fantasy WR points in the league.
