Sunday Night Football
Philadelphia @ Washington
Team Totals: Eagles 17.5, Commanders 23.5
Philadelphia travels to Northwest Stadium on a short week following its Monday night beatdown by Dallas. Tanner McKee will be equally as short-handed (see below), which is concerning for his outlook: Washington’s blitzed at the league’s second-highest rate (47%), and McKee’s numbers responding — 53.3% completion rate (35th) for 5.2 yards per attempt (35th) — are dire. Glass half full: The only two QBs who failed to score 24 fantasy points against this secondary were Brock Purdy (who lost Mike Evans in the first half) and Daniel Jones (who is Daniel Jones). Start McKee in Superflex leagues for one more week. … Without Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and Dameon Pierce (I.R.), Philadelphia’s backfield is left with veteran Elijah Mitchell and Jaydon Blue. It’s pure speculation, but odds are Blue is active to return kicks (as he did with the Cowboys) after Mitchell averaged 9.0 yards per return in place of Britain Covey (knee). Mitchell is expected to get the Pierce-like treatment as a band-aid RB2/3. His floor is high for Washington’s 7.1 weekly targets (29th) allowed to RBs.
