Atlanta @ Baltimore
Team Totals: Ravens 20.5, Falcons 14.5
Third-round rookie Desmond Ridder’s NFL starting debut was remarkably unremarkable, passing for an anemic 97 scoreless yards on 26 attempts (3.7 YPA), taking four sacks on 30 dropbacks, and gaining 38 yards on six carries in Atlanta’s Week 15 loss to the Saints. Arthur Smith’s offense is designed to hide its quarterback, while Week 16 presents a potential tough-weather road game against a Ravens team returning home after a disappointing division loss in Cleveland. I’m smashing the button on Baltimore’s D/ST. … If Atlanta is going to have any measure of Week 16 offensive success, it is likely to come on the ground at Baltimore, which won’t have DL Calais Campbell (knee). Cordarrelle Patterson and Tyler Allgeier continue to share playing time evenly — C-Patt played one more snap than Allgeier in last week’s defeat — but Allgeier just so happened to grab the hot hand and run with it. Patterson could just as easily grab it on Saturday. Both are high-volatility flex options at Baltimore.
