Thursday Night Football
Jacksonville @ N.Y. Jets
Team Totals: Jaguars 19.5, Jets 18.5
At 38 points, Jaguars-Jets is totaled low enough to be a game to avoid in most fantasy-lineup decisions. … Since Week 9, Trevor Lawrence is fantasy’s overall QB5, having completed 157-of-223 passes (70.4%) for 1,680 yards (7.5 YPA), a 14:1 TD-to-INT ratio, and 22/140/1 rushing during that six-game span. Yet I’m reducing box-score expectations for Lawrence after the Jags lost LT Cam Robinson (torn meniscus) ahead of facing Gang Green’s shutdown defense on a short-week road trip. The Jets have allowed the NFL’s third-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.8) and second-fewest passing TDs (13). Lawrence is a fringe QB1/2 option. … In three games since Travis Etienne’s Week 12 foot-injury scare, he’s averaged 18.0 touches and a near-80% playing-time clip. The Jets have yielded the NFL’s eighth-fewest fantasy running back points, held Lions RBs to a combined 27/101/0 (3.7 YPC) rushing line last week, and appear likely to get back star DT Quinnen Williams (calf) versus Jacksonville. Little about Etienne’s matchup stands out — and his receiving role continues to underwhelm — but he’s a confident usage-based RB2 play on TNF.
