Detroit @ Green Bay
Team Totals: Packers 25, Lions 22.5
A limited pocket passer in his first game in a new offense under first-year OC John Morton, Jared Goff is a low-floor QB1/2 option also dealing with a remade interior offensive line on the road against a rambunctious Packers defense sparked by its late-camp trade for annual DPOY candidate Micah Parsons. I’m sitting Goff where I have viable alternatives. … Green Bay lost DT Kenny Clark in its trade for Parsons, who probably won’t be ready to play on all downs after joining the Packers on Aug. 28. These represent slight but notable matchup improvements for Jahmyr Gibbs, who I expect to take over as Detroit’s primary back under Morton with David Montgomery settling into a situational role. Gibbs will be an elite RB1 with league-winning upside all year. Montgomery profiles as a touchdown-or-bust RB2/flex.
