Monday Night Football
Minnesota @ Chicago
Team Totals: Vikings 23.75, Bears 20.75
Dalvin Cook enters Monday night as the NFL’s hottest running back, leading the league in rushing yards (858) and touchdowns (13) with career highs in yards per carry (6.0) and yards per catch (10.8). Yet the Bears played stout run defense over their last four games – stymieing Titans, Saints, Rams, and Panthers backs for a combined 92/357/2 (3.88 YPC) rushing in Weeks 6-9 – and have held Cook to measly total-yardage sums of 70, 60, and 10 in their three career meetings. Cook is an obvious bet-on-talent, fade-matchup RB1 play. … On top of his well-documented primetime struggles, Kirk Cousins’ poor historic performances against Chicago are noteworthy here. Since taking over as Minnesota’s quarterback at the beginning of 2018, Cousins is 77-of-115 passing for 626 yards (5.4 YPA), three touchdowns, three turnovers, and 12 sacks absorbed in three meetings with the Bears – all losses in which the Vikings managed point totals of 6, 10, and 20.
