The 2026 Golf Season is Underway. Access To Our Projections and Content:

Effectively taking over the Memphis Showboats’ market, the Louisville Kings join the UFL fray in 2026 and will do so with nearly an entirely different roster and coaching staff than the one we saw in Grind City last season, starting with former Louisville QB Chris Redman, like Ted Ginn Jr., getting the head coaching nod, due at least in part to his local ties. Despite a storied collegiate career and a Super Bowl ring as a backup QB to his name, Redman lacks the coaching experience that many of his counterparts have, only serving as an assistant/QB coach for a Texas high school team from 2023-24.

Redman hired 73-year-old Steve Logan as his offensive coordinator, last serving as the AAF’s Birmingham Iron OC in 2019. Logan has a lengthy collegiate and professional career that dates back to 1980 where he started as a tight ends coach for Oklahoma State, eventually serving in various roles that include a head coaching position at East Carolina, OC at Boston College, and various position coaching stops at the NFL level. Without much relevant data to lean on, I’m not convinced Logan is going to run a modern offense, but his Iron did drop back on 60.1% of their offensive snaps in his last stint, averaging just 6.0 YPA and 3.2 YPC en route to a 5-3 record.
