Borrego quotes: Said he likes how they play on the road and the team likes to play on the road, didn’t really add much else besides he knows the Hawks very well and they’re going to watch all the tape again from this season.

McMillan quotes: Said John Collins went through some 4-on-4 and they’re taking a wait-and-see approach, said the team is pretty good at home (won 11 of last 12).

Stats and Notes:

*The Hornets have been playing well for the most part this year, and their big lineup has fared well with a +9.2 net rating in 327 minutes. They have not traded away their pace for size as they’re playing up in tempo, and that bigger lineup has an elite 120.2 O rating. The Hawks haven’t really missed John Collins on offense with their Gallo starting lineup putting up a 119.4 O rating in 232 minutes, but they have been torched on the defensive end. These starting lineups should pile on the points against each other.

*The Hornets have been one of the worst defenses overall, as they’re one of the worst at-rim and 3-point defenses. The Hawks don’t really attack the basket much while they’re usually relying on their outside shooting. If the Hawks are hitting jumpers, they’ll be tough to beat. The Hawks’ biggest weakness has been transition defense, with only the Rockets being worse in points per possession and points-plus per possession. The Hornets are going to be running like crazy here, and the Hawks taking care of the ball will be paramount.
