Rivers quotes: Said they like DeAndre Jordan and they’ll continue to start him, said Miami was too physical, said they really can’t script their C rotation and they have to try different things.

Spoelstra quotes: Said they were really physical and disciplined in their game plan, said it was just a matter of time before Herro got into a rhythm, said P.J. Tucker just has winning plays to inspire his team, said they know teams are going to go zone against them and they have to be a little better, said they will be ready for the Doc adjustments, said Tobias killed them, said they’re not going to be able to rattle Harden and just have to keep at it.

Stats and Notes:

*A lot went wrong for the 76ers. They were terrible in the halfcourt and had no transition offense, while the Heat had a massive edge on the glass, played faster, and were also pretty bad in the halfcourt. The 76ers didn’t really attack any specific part of the court, but they did get their 3-pointers off like most teams do. Miami killed the 76ers inside, and those center lineups were just awful. The small-ball stuff was pretty good, and the Philly zone was a bright spot for them.

*What a bad game from James Harden. He only had 10 drives for six points and didn’t look like himself. Those drives are down from the 17.7 per game against the Raptors for 8.7 points. He’s seen his efficiency off drives take a massive hit, and he struggled with some of the press and physicality of Miami. It’s about as discouraging as you could get. He’s also seen his FG% off drives in the playoffs dip 20 percentage points (43% this year, 64% and 63% before). He could bounce back, but the Heat have shown they’re an excellent defense at stopping drive-heavy, PNR guards.
