If your season-long fantasy team is struggling: There’s still plenty of time to right the ship and make moves to put yourself in a position to make the playoffs. If you started out hot: Now’s the perfect time to get that one last piece to put you over the top.

Trading is a critical component of optimizing your fantasy football team. Today, we’ll walk through seven pairs of similarly ranked players and nominate one as a buy candidate and another as a player to sell. This ideally serves as inspiration for exact trades you can make, but it’s also more general advice on players we believe are valued too high or too low.

BUY AARON JONES, SELL RAHEEM MOSTERT

Jones played a season-high 57% of snaps and got 20 carries in Week 9 after Packers coach Matt LaFleur said during the week that they were going to “cut him loose”. He’s back in the RB1 conversation after nursing his hamstring for the first half of the season.

Mostert just keeps scoring touchdowns, as he hit paydirt to salvage an otherwise uninspiring Week 9 outing. Still, he only played 53.1% of snaps, as Jeff Wilson and Salvon Ahmed remained highly involved, and De’Von Achane will likely return in Week 11 to steal even more work. The Dolphins also play the Jets, Cowboys, and Ravens during the fantasy playoffs.

BUY KENNETH WALKER, SELL RACHAAD WHITE

Zach Charbonnet has out-snapped Walker in two straight games. During that time, Walker has 10.7 PPR fantasy points. There are likely some Walker fantasy managers out there who are completely panicking, but Walker still has a significant advantage on early-down carries (21-5 snaps advantage in Week 9). Charbonnet is going to catch passes, but Walker will have a big rushing role when Seattle doesn’t have abnormally negative game script as they did on Sunday.

White has a rock-solid passing-down role, but he’s been subpar as a rusher so far this year and now is coming off a game where he scored two TDs. His receiving ability will keep him in the RB3 conversation, but you might be able to cash out this week for a higher-upside player like Walker.

BUY JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA, SELL BRANDIN COOKS
