After a brutal Week 14 slate that knocked out most remaining survivor pool entries, Week 15 comes with a number of big favorites that are still widely available. Mapping out where to play some of those teams could be the difference between coming away with a survivor pool win this season.
Below, I’ll discuss multiple games, listed from highest projected ownership to least for teams with at least .5% projected ownership. As always, I will check in via the survivor pool channel in Discord to discuss any updates I have on any matchup. If you have any questions, get them into Discord by midnight ET on Saturday.
49ers vs. Titans
Spread: 49ers -12.5
Total: 44.5
Ownership: 34%
Expect San Francisco to be the most popular option on the slate, as the majority of entries that still have the 49ers available saved them for this spot. For single-entry tournaments, expect at least two-thirds of the remaining entries with San Francisco available to use them. In pick-two-team formats, San Francisco could exceed 80% ownership.
From a pure football standpoint, you’re getting a well-coached 49ers team coming off a bye, against one of the worst teams in the league coming off a spike game in Tennessee. I don’t have any real concerns with the 49ers from that stance.
Week 16’s matchup at Indianapolis is more appealing than it was a few weeks ago given the Colts’ quarterback situation, but I’d still rather play the 49ers here than in Indianapolis next week.
If you’re going to get off San Francisco, that’s a game-theory decision on a slate with several good options.
