It’s one to target in fantasy-lineup decisions. … Green Bay’s defense sucked the life out of Detroit’s Week 1 offense keyed by up-front dominance; Rashan Gary and Micah Parsons formed a two-man wrecking crew on the edge, while athletic off-ball LBs Edgerrin Cooper and Quay Walker cleaned up the second level. Jared Goff was hit nine times on 43 dropbacks, taking four sacks. Dual-threat dynamo Jayden Daniels poses far more challenges than statue-esque Goff, of course, and warrants opponent-agnostic QB1 treatment with top-five scoring results at his position through 21 NFL starts (including playoffs). … Bottling up Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery for a combined rushing line of 20/44/0 (2.2 YPC), Green Bay’s revamped defensive front owned Week 1’s line of scrimmage. Darting rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s hype train gained fuel when he rushed 10 times for 82 yards and a touchdown in last Sunday’s win over the Giants, but “Bill” was out-snapped by Austin Ekeler 33 to 23 and drew one target. I’m viewing Croskey-Merritt as a largely touchdown-reliant RB3/flex option in Week 2. Ekeler is best considered on single-game DFS slates.
