L.A. Chargers @ Dallas
Team Totals: Cowboys 26, Chargers 23.5
Still getting relentlessly harassed behind arguably the NFL’s worst offensive line, Justin Herbert hasn’t topped 250 passing yards since Week 7 and is averaging 145.3 yards in his last four starts. He’s taken 11 sacks over his last two. The Cowboys’ potential loss of DT Quinnen Williams (concussion) could provide some relief, but Jim Harbaugh and OC Greg Roman have settled into a decidedly run-heavy offense for an extended period of time, and Williams’ absence would also be majorly felt against the run. I can’t consider Herbert a fantasy starter at this point. … Last week, Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo attempted to exploit the Chargers’ protection issues by blitzing Herbert on 56% of his dropbacks. As Kimani Vidal is the Bolts’ best pass-protection back, he out-snapped Omarion Hampton 42 to 24 against Kansas City. Hampton still banked 16 touches and is a playable flex against the Cowboys — especially if Williams sits — but Vidal is going to see the field more.
