Most signs point to Kyler Murray (ankle) and DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) sitting out Week 9, setting up Colt McCoy to start at quarterback and third-year UDFA Antoine Wesley to inherit most of Hopkins’ perimeter routes. A.J. Green (Covid) also appears likely to miss. On defense, J.J. Watt (shoulder) is done for the year. In sports betting, I took a big pro-49ers position on the money line. The 49ers’ D/ST should be teed up confidently versus 35-year-old journeyman backup McCoy.
