NBA is in full swing, don’t miss out!

We’re going to get a lot of stuff wrong, but sifting through usage metrics can help us work through what matters and what doesn’t. That’s the goal of this article: to break down the most actionable takeaways from each week in a concise, numbers-filled format and work through what’s important. This week’s edition will be slightly shorter due to the holiday season, but it will return in full after Week 17. We will still touch on everything we normally would, just in a bulleted list (similar to the “Other Usage Notes” section of the usual article) rather than deep-diving in on five situations. Anyway, let’s get right to it.

  • With Marquise Brown (heel) out, Michael Wilson (39 routes), Rondale Moore (37 routes), and Greg Dortch (35) played in 3-WR sets, although none of them were particularly effective as TEs and RBs controlled 24-of-38 Kyler Murray targets. Dortch entered the game looking truly questionable but ended up playing full snaps.
  • Tucker Fisk was up again for the Falcons, but Jonnu Smith ran 26 routes on 35 Taylor Heinicke dropbacks, easily his highest route share in a game with either Fisk or Parker Hesse active. Bijan Robinson also returned to an elite route share with 31 routes, one week removed from a 57% route participation game.
