Passing Game Outlook
Defensive-minded head coach Jesse Minter will hand the keys to first-time play-caller Declan Doyle to run the offense. Doyle is just 30 years old and spent 2025 as the Bears’ offensive coordinator, though Ben Johnson was the play-caller and clear architect of the offense. Doyle is otherwise a Sean Payton protégé, spending 2023 and 2024 as the Broncos’ tight ends coach and working as an offensive assistant in New Orleans before that. The good news for Doyle: The blueprint for success is already well-established, as Baltimore ranked first in EPA per play in 2024 and sixth in 2023, before an injury-riddled 2025 for Lamar Jackson pushed their seasonal numbers closer to league average. Jackson has silenced any doubts about his passing ability in recent years, and he still averaged 8.4 yards per attempt with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions despite being visibly injured over the second half of last season.
