Cleveland @ Houston
Team Totals: Browns 27.5, Texans 20.5
Although Sunday will mark Deshaun Watson’s first NFL appearance in 700 days — putting him at risk of having to shake off rust — Watson is nevertheless set up for immediate success surrounded by a top-five offensive line, true No. 1 WR in Amari Cooper, ascending No. 2 WR in Donovan Peoples-Jones, and two stud tight ends in David Njoku and Harrison Bryant. Yet the Browns are entirely capable of having their way on the ground with Lovie Smith’s defense, which has coughed up the league’s fifth-most yards per carry (4.9) and fourth-most rushing touchdowns (15). No NFL team has allowed more fantasy points to running backs than Houston. Nick Chubb is a sky-high-ceiling RB1 play here. … I remain unable to support Kareem Hunt as a fantasy option with seven touches or fewer in five of his last six games. … Since they’ve never played in actual games together, Watson’s on-field chemistry with Cooper, Peoples-Jones, and Njoku figures to begin as a work in progress and improve the more snaps they share.
