L.A. Chargers @ Denver
Team Totals: Chargers 25.5, Broncos 22.5
Fresh off a scintillating Sunday night performance and arguably the most impressive game of his 25-start career, Justin Herbert visits Denver to face a hit-or-miss Broncos defense that’s yielded back-to-back top-10 QB1 scores to Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott but is coming off a Week 11 bye that gave defensive mastermind Vic Fangio extra time to game plan. In two career meetings with Fangio’s defense, Herbert is 50-of-76 passing (66%) for 531 yards (7.0 YPA), a 4:2 TD-to-INT ratio, and 7/47/0 rushing. Despite some red flags, I’m willing to bet on Herbert’s talent and mostly-healthy supporting cast here. … Austin Ekeler enters Week 12 with touch counts of 17, 14, 20, and 17 over his last four games as part of a backfield where the Chargers have been unsuccessful in their pursuit of a bankable No. 2 back. Ekeler’s elite versatility and virtually nonexistent in-house competition render him a shoo-in RB1 every week.
