The Jets pose a favorable quarterback matchup on paper, but I’m not convinced matchups can spark Tua at this point. … De’Von Achane is having an extraordinary season when you consider he entered it nursing an injury and has played in an extremely adverse offensive environment. He’s been thoroughly matchup-proof, averaging exactly 20 touches per game and appearing on 79% of Miami’s offensive snaps. Only four NFL defenses have given up more fantasy points to running backs than the Jets. With Christian McCaffrey on bye, Bijan Robinson facing Seattle, and Jahmyr Gibbs encountering the Cowboys on Thursday night, Achane and Jonathan Taylor (@ Jaguars) are neck and neck for Sunday’s overall RB1 play.
