Pete Carroll’s team hasn’t allowed more than 23 points since Week 9, while Sean McVay’s is averaging 21.3 over its last 11 games and will likely trot out AAF product John Wolford for his second straight start. Over the last seven weeks, Seattle has permitted the league’s fewest points per game (15.0) and banked the NFL’s second-most sacks (24), albeit against a Charmin-soft QB schedule including C.J. Beathard, Jared Goff, Dwayne Haskins, Sam Darnold, Colt McCoy, and Carson Wentz. Benefiting Wolford is the return of WR Cooper Kupp (Covid) and LT Andrew Whitworth (MCL/PCL) plus Wolford’s scrambling skills; he ran for 16 TDs over his final two seasons at Wake Forest and 56 yards on six attempts last week.
