12:30 PM ET Game
Chicago @ Detroit
Team Totals: Bears 22.5, Lions 19
Justin Fields’ ribs/spleen injury all but assures Andy Dalton will start Thanksgiving’s early game at Ford Field. Dalton stands to do so without Allen Robinson (hamstring) in a spot that vehemently favors David Montgomery against a Lions defense that’s yielding the NFL’s second-most fantasy running back points and is likely to miss DLs Trey Flowers (knee) and Da’shawn Hand (groin). In two games since returning from his early-season knee sprain/hyperextension, Montgomery has logged year-high snap rates of 85% and 95% while facing near-nonexistent workload challenges from rookie Khalil Herbert and injured Damien Williams (knee/calf). Herbert’s touch counts in Chicago’s last two contests were 4 and 1 versus Montgomery’s 15 and 15. Enemy RBs have rocked the Lions for 16 all-purpose TDs in nine games.
