Thursday Night Football

Washington @ Philadelphia

Team Totals: Eagles 26, Commanders 23

Thursday night’s Commanders-Eagles contest boasts a top-two total among Week 11 games, which should encourage fantasy owners of Washington and Philly skill-position players to fire here. … Jayden Daniels has banked 19.9 or more standard-scoring fantasy points in seven of 10 starts, yet Philadelphia is yielding the league’s fourth-fewest fantasy QB points. In this possible shootout, Daniels remains a cinch QB1 with elite scoring potential. I do worry about Daniels’ pass protection with top-three OTs Brandon Coleman (shoulder), Andrew Wylie (shoulder), and Cornelius Lucas (ankle) plus C Tyler Biadasz (ribs, thumb, foot) all battling injuries on a short week. Philly’s D/ST remains quite playable. … Brian Robinson Jr. — sidelined the last two weeks by a knee injury — enters TNF competing for Commanders backfield work with pass-game specialists Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols plus Chris Rodriguez, an interior pounder who profiles as Robinson’s direct backup. Philly has given up the NFL’s third-fewest fantasy points to running backs. At the end of the day, I’m assigning Ekeler the top box-score outlook from this position group.

Terry McLaurin’s last four stat lines against the Eagles are 5/63/1, 8/86/0, 8/128/0, and 6/102/0. This year, McLaurin ranks third among wideouts in receiving yards (711) behind only Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. … Locking in as Washington’s No. 2 receiver, Noah Brown has banked six-plus targets in four of the Commanders’ last five games and played a season-high 89% of Washington’s offensive snaps in Week 10’s loss to Pittsburgh. Brown is a justifiable WR4/flex option. … This is a #RevengeGame for Zach Ertz against his former team. Ertz enters Week 11 ranked No. 8 among tight ends in both targets (54) and catches (37). He’s a volume-driven, low-end TE1 in Thursday night’s potential shootout.

The rich are getting richer with stud LT Jordan Mailata (hamstring) back from I.R. to restore Philadelphia’s O-Line to full strength. Winners of five straight with their offense humming, the Eagles have outscored three of their last five opponents by 20 points or more. Jalen Hurts is fantasy’s overall QB1 since Philly’s Week 5 bye. … Washington is giving up nearly 5.0 yards per carry to enemy running backs, while Saquon Barkley is an NFL Offensive POY frontrunner averaging a breathtaking 5.8 yards per carry and 127.7 total yards per game.

As of midweek, Commanders trade deadline acquisition Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) was still not practicing. A big, physical press-man corner with a history of giving plus-sized wideouts fits, Lattimore’s absence would upgrade A.J. Brown’s matchup. … Washington is yielding the league’s 11th-most fantasy WR points. DeVonta Smith has 79+ yards and/or a touchdown in six of his eight appearances. … Finally back from his month-long hamstring strain, Dallas Goedert returned to a full-time role in Philly’s Week 10 beatdown of Dallas, then rested late in the game with the rest of the Eagles’ starters. Goedert drew only three targets, but Hurts only needed to throw the ball 20 times, and Goedert hit paydirt from 14 yards out in the second quarter. He’s a surefire TE1 in Thursday’s potential track meet.

Score Prediction: Eagles 27, Commanders 23
