Mega 12-game slate! I went a little nuts on NBA Matchups, so definitely check that out. For this edition, we’re going to focus more on what we learned in the last few hours.

Wednesday Morning/Afternoon Updates

Well, the Pacers are suddenly in deep, deep trouble at center. JaKarr Sampson has been suspended for today, so the Goga Bitadze questionable tag looms even larger. If he can go, he’d be looking at minutes in the 28-33 range. If he can’t go, Oshae Brissett would suddenly be looking at a massive role, especially with Doug McDermott likely having a hard cap on his minutes. Behind him, they might even have to go with some Kelan Martin as the backup five while guys like Justin Holiday and Edmond Sumner would be looking at more minutes, especially if Jeremy Lamb can’t go.

We got the Nets’ injury report! The big surprise is that Blake Griffin isn’t on there, but no surprise that Kevin Durant (thigh) is out. Kyrie Irving is also not on the injury report (for now) while Reggie Perry is questionable and Nicolas Claxton is out again. The Nets should have a similar rotation to yesterday, so expect some big chances for Landry Shamet, Jeff Green and maybe even Blake Griffin again. I’d expect a decent cap on Blake.

We still didn’t get any Raptors news yet, but we’ll see. I’d still be very skeptical of who is out there.

We got the Hawks’ injury report, and there’s nothing too surprising on there with only Danilo Gallinari still being out. John Collins saw his minutes increase from 16-20 to 25, and he might have been closer to 30 had the game been close. I’d expect him to be close to 27ish minutes today in a subpar matchup.

Well, the 76ers’ injury report got very murky here with Joel Embiid (knee) now questionable. He has a “recovery” tag on him, so this is certainly B2B related. Dwight Howard would obviously benefit most here if Embiid can’t go. Mike Scott would also have to play more C to open up more run for Matisse Thybulle, especially if Tobias Harris can’t play. Also, coach Doc Rivers did not like Paul Reed‘s minutes the last time he was out there, so he’s almost certainly not in the mix.
