Black Friday Sale is LIVE!

A busy holiday weekend over here, so I didn’t go quite as in depth on the stats and notes. I did go through all the coach pressers and hit most of the game environment notes for you guys, though. I hope you are enjoying Thanksgiving weekend! After breaking bread yesterday, let’s get that bread today!

Note: I wrote most of this earlier on Thursday, so apologies if something got stale on the ever-changing injury landscape.

Detroit Pistons at L.A. Clippers

Team Totals:

Injury Report: Killian Hayes (D, thumb), Frank Jackson (P, ankle), Nic Batum (O, protocols)

Pistons projected starters: Cory Joseph, Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Jerami Grant, Isaiah Stewart

Clippers projected starters: Reggie Jackson, Eric Bledsoe, Paul George, Marcus Morris, Ivica Zubac

Casey quotes: Said Lyles has to shoot the ball more going forward and gave them “tremendous minutes” on Wednesday, said they were trying to take more 3-pointers against the Bucks.

Lue quotes: Said their rotations against Luka were terrible, said he’s OK playing PG-13 up there in minutes even if he’s tired, said Marcus Morris played well in his return, said Isaiah Hartenstein’s minutes coming down is a product of getting players back, said they were trying to get Mann back in the game but just never had a chance to get him in there, said their offensive spacing is terrible.

Stats and Notes:

*Heads up for the day game here. This is probably going to be sloppy, and it’s a big mismatch with the Pistons traveling. The Pistons also have a horrendous backcourt while the Clippers have been great. The Pistons playing slow makes this a subpar game environment.

*The Clippers will likely be throwing a lot of stuff at Cade that he’s never seen before, so I’d expect him to struggle here. I’d generally stay away from the Pistons here, but if you’re playing showdown, Saddiq Bey and Stewart could be productive. Plus, I’d possibly look at Saben Lee if Killian Hayes can’t go.

*The Pistons just don’t have a wing defender right now, so PG-13 figures to light up whoever the Pistons throw at him. It’s also a Reggie Jackson revenge spot, and the Pistons will have some poor ball containment out there — they’ve been solid against frontcourt guys.
