Steelers Passing Game
Ben Roethlisberger underwent surgery to reattach three tendons in his throwing elbow last September. Albeit with Antonio Brown at his disposal, the last time we saw a healthy Roethlisberger he was leading the league in passing yards and attempts as the orchestrator of Pittsburgh’s post-Todd Haley offense. That 2018 offense ranked No. 6 in points scored and No. 6 in yards per drive. As Roethlisberger’s age (38) complicates his recovery, his floor is too low to be worth trusting as more than a matchup-based spot starter in traditional season-long leagues, and he is a scary best-ball pick. Nevertheless, Big Ben’s return is extremely positive news for all casualties of last year’s Mason Rudolph–Duck Hodges disaster.
