Titans Passing Game
Ryan Tannehill took control of Tennessee’s offensive reins when Marcus Mariota was benched in Week 6 and never relinquished them, even becoming an every-week QB1 along the way. Engineering a low-frequency passing attack with heavy doses of play action, Tannehill lit up box scores on sheer efficiency. He led the NFL in yards per attempt (9.6), yards per completion (13.6), and passer rating (117.5) before handing off to Derrick Henry in two playoff wins. Tannehill’s 7.7% TD Rate was easily a career high. As Tannehill’s rate stats are bound for regression without passing volume to compensate, he’s best viewed as a low-end QB2 without a particularly high floor or ceiling. Tannehill’s regression is likely to hit early; Tennessee opens with a brutal Weeks 1-5 pass-defense slate (@ DEN, vs. JAX, @ MIN, vs. PIT, vs. BUF).
