Denzel Boston is our WR5 for rookie drafts and checks in as the WR31 in our overall dynasty ranks. He was unable to get on the field early in his career due to the presence of some NFL talent, though it is also notable that Boston was cleanly beaten out for work by classmate Germie Bernard. Boston has two very different styles reflected in his scouting report. The raw numbers would say that he has some movement skills not reflected by traditional athletic testing, though it is clear his raw speed is not great. This would fall in line with one of the scouts who compares Boston to Puka Nacua. The prospect model, however, likens Boston to a boatload of failed and unproven bigger WRs who struggled to separate. That would be more like the other scout’s comparison of Courtland Sutton.
So where does reality lie? That is what fantasy gamers will have to determine. For us, Boston has a very wide range of outcomes. In a lot of other drafts, he would probably be more of a late first- or early second-round rookie draft pick, but in a class like this, we welcome the ceiling and understand the risk.
