San Francisco @ New Orleans
Team Totals: Saints 29, 49ers 20
Although the 49ers return from a long week following Week 9’s blowout Thursday night loss to Green Bay, Kyle Shanahan’s injury-ruined team is only mildly healthier still missing DLs Nick Bosa (ACL), Dee Ford (back), and Solomon Thomas (ACL), DBs Richard Sherman (calf), Jaquiski Tartt (toe), and K’Waun Williams (ankle) on defense, plus QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), RBs Raheem Mostert (ankle), Jeffrey Wilson (ankle), and Tevin Coleman (knee), TE George Kittle (foot), and WRs Deebo Samuel (hamstring) and Trent Taylor (back) on offense. Even while Nick Mullens has sporadically flashed competency, his fantasy finishes in three 2020 starts are QB18 (Giants), QB29 (Eagles), and QB24 (Packers). Each of the last three quarterbacks to face New Orleans’ slowly-improving defense have managed fantasy scores of QB13 or worse, positioning Mullens as two-QB-league viable only. … Jerick McKinnon established a commanding lead over JaMycal Hasty against Green Bay, out-snapping the 49ers’ struggling UDFA rookie 42 to 15 and out-touching Hasty 15 to 6.
