Sporting a rare sub-40-point total, 49ers-Bears sets up as a fantasy-unfriendly contest on both sides. Jimmy Garoppolo is fantasy’s QB28 in per-game scoring and remains at every-week benching risk in favor of Trey Lance. Jimmy G’s matchup is nevertheless improved with Bears All-Pro EDGE rusher Khalil Mack (foot) ruled out, fellow EDGE Robert Quinn still on the Covid list, and DT Akiem Hicks (groin) nowhere near full health. I’m starting Garoppolo in two-quarterback/Superflex leagues but nowhere else.
