On a short-rest road trip after their stunning Monday night upset beatdown of the Patriots in Foxboro, the Bears are likely in for a rude awakening at Dallas. Allowing the NFL’s second-fewest raw points per game (14.9), the Cowboys have also yielded the league’s third-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.5) and fourth-fewest fantasy QB points. Justin Fields deserves credit for turning in arguably his career-best game in Week 7 — aided by OC Luke Getsy’s aggressive use of Fields as a runner — but Dallas is equipped to dominate in the trenches here and pay big-time D/ST dividends. … The Bears’ backfield has indeed morphed into a two-way RBBC; in last week’s victory, David Montgomery out-touched Khalil Herbert by a mere 15-to-13 margin and was outgained by Herbert 87 to 62. Already allowing the NFL’s fourth-fewest fantasy RB points, the Cowboys traded for beefy run-stuffing NT Johnathan Hankins this week and should control the line of scrimmage. Montgomery and Herbert are both dicey flex options. … Darnell Mooney remains Chicago’s lone fantasy-viable pass catcher but is always a boom-bust WR3 bet.
