Monday Night Football
Chicago @ New England
Team Totals: Patriots 24, Bears 16
The last four defense/special teams units to face the Bears banked fantasy finishes of D/ST7 (HOU), D/ST3 (NYG), D/ST15 (MIN), and D/ST7 (WAS). On Monday night, we’re attacking Justin Fields with the Patriots’ defense. … Only the 49ers and Titans have allowed fewer fantasy running back points than New England. With David Montgomery–Khalil Herbert trending toward a 1A-1B operation, I’m viewing Montgomery as a low-floor RB2 and Herbert as a dicey flex still worth rostering in all leagues. Herbert is not getting the workload to reflect it, but he has outplayed Montgomery to this point. … Still Chicago’s lone fantasy-viable pass catcher, Darnell Mooney is respectably averaging 71 yards over the Bears’ last three games but has drawn just two red-zone targets six weeks in. He’s a boom-bust WR3/flex. … On one-game DFS slates, Dante Pettis warrants mention as the Bears’ No. 2 receiver and Equanimeous St. Brown as No. 3. Also, Cole Kmet ran the second-most Week 6 routes among Chicago pass catchers behind only Mooney.
