Chicago @ New Orleans

Team Totals: Saints 24.5, Bears 17

The Bears will trot out UDFA rookie Tyson Bagent for another start after he managed Weeks 6-8 fantasy finishes of QB27 (vs. MIN), QB20 (vs. LV), and QB24 (@ LAC). With New Orleans spotting quarterbacks the league’s sixth-fewest fantasy points, I like the idea of teeing up the Saints’ D/ST here. … The Bears ran a fantasy back-breaking three-man RBBC in Roschon Johnson’s return from concussion against the Chargers. D’Onta Foreman led the group in touches (10), but Johnson narrowly out-snapped him and touched the ball nine times. Darrynton Evans (7 touches, 27% snaps) remained a nuisance. This backfield needs to be fully faded here, while Khalil Herbert (ankle) is eligible to return from I.R. in Week 10. … D.J. Moore risks getting stuck on Marshon Latimore Island this week. Lattimore has allowed one touchdown pass over his last 15 games. … Dating back to last year, Darnell Mooney has gone 12 games without reaching 60 receiving yards. … On the season, Bagent is a perfect 10-of-10 passing for 79 yards when targeting Cole Kmet. Yet Kmet’s Week 9 TD probability remains low enough that he isn’t TE1 worthy.

Derek Carr returns from his season-best game and season-best fantasy finish (QB13) in Week 8’s win at Indianapolis to face a Bears defense Justin Herbert just carved up on short passes Austin Ekeler and Co. incessantly turned into long gains. Carr happens to have a backfield weapon of Ekeler’s caliber in Alvin Kamara, while this game’s indoor environment tends to boost scoring.
