Buffalo @ Kansas City
Team Totals: Bills 28, Chiefs 26
Bills-Chiefs profiles as a scoring bonanza pitting against each other the NFL’s top two scoring teams in — by far — the highest-totaled game of the week. Including playoffs, Josh Allen has faced Kansas City DC Steve Spagnuolo’s defense four times over the past two seasons, combining to go 84-of-138 passing (61%) for 1,053 yards (7.6 YPA) with an 11:4 TD-to-INT ratio and rushing lines of 8/42/0, 11/59/1, 7/88/0, and 11/68/0. This year’s Chiefs have doled out the NFL’s seventh-most fantasy quarterback points. … Amid trade rumors connecting the Bills to Christian McCaffrey, Devin Singletary should have added motivation after taking clear control of Buffalo’s lead-back job whenever games are in doubt. Last week’s never was; the Bills smoked the Steelers 38 to 3, so Zack Moss and rookie James Cook played more than usual. Per PFF, Singletary’s playing-time average spikes from 51% when Buffalo is leading to 76% when the Bills are losing or the game is tied. The spread on this game is less than a field goal. I’m ignoring Moss, stashing Cook, and teeing up Singletary as an underrated RB2 in this possible track meet.
