Denver @ L.A. Chargers
Team Totals: Chargers 26, Broncos 22.5
Establishing himself as one of football’s most volatile game-to-game quarterbacks, Drew Lock took a massive step back after arguably his career-best Week 14 performance as Denver was routed 48-19 by Buffalo last Saturday evening. Lock’s accuracy, poise, and focus all come and go, and he’s now finished QB20 or worse in 11-of-15 career games played start to finish. Lock profiles as a boom-bust two-quarterback-league play here; he did drop Week 8’s QB7 score on L.A. when these clubs earlier clashed, and on the year the Chargers have yielded the NFL’s eighth-most fantasy QB points. From a sports-betting angle, I’m also a big fan of the over on Broncos-Bolts at 48.5 points. … Ostensibly due to a buildup of foot injuries, Phillip Lindsay appears to have hit a late-season wall with an anemic 45/108/0 (2.4 YPC) rushing line and 14 receiving yards over his last four appearances.
