Denver @ New England
Team Totals: Patriots 27.5, Broncos 17.5
In a game delayed a full week by Cam Newton and Stephon Gilmore’s Covid-positive tests, the Broncos are expected to resume starting Drew Lock after a two-game absence due to a right (throwing) shoulder injury. In six career games played beginning to end, Lock’s fantasy finishes are QB26 (Titans), QB20 (Raiders), QB21 (Lions), QB31 (Chiefs), QB7 (Texans), and QB22 (Chargers). Now missing Courtland Sutton (ACL), likely K.J. Hamler (hamstring), and possibly Melvin Gordon (DUI) with Noah Fant (ankle) at less than 100%, Lock is best viewed as an attack target for New England’s D/ST. It doesn’t help that offenses facing the Patriots are averaging just 57.3 plays per game, second fewest in the league.
