Tampa Bay @ New Orleans
Team Totals: Bucs 28, Saints 22.5
After facing Geno Smith, Taylor Heinicke, Daniel Jones, Mac Jones, and Sam Darnold in its previous five games, New Orleans’ defense will be put to a far more serious test against Tom Brady, who leads the NFL in touchdown passes (21) and all quarterbacks in fantasy points. Saints DC Dennis Allen’s group did give Brady legitimate problems in last year’s two meetings, holding TB12 to a combined 45-of-74 passing (60.8%) for 448 yards (6.05 YPA), and a 2:5 TD-to-INT ratio with one rushing TD but six sacks taken on 80 dropbacks. The Saints also got back defensive difference-makers EDGE Marcus Davenport (shoulder) and LB Kwon Alexander (elbow) from Week 1 injuries in Week 7’s win at Seattle, while DT David Onyemata returns from suspension this week. Even in a formidable matchup, I’m standing behind Brady as an elite fantasy bet inside the Superdome with Rob Gronkowski (ribs) returning.
