Tampa Bay @ Seattle
Team Totals: Seahawks 24, Bucs 20.5
Playing through knee and right (throwing) biceps injuries that are serious enough to cost him early-week practice time, Baker Mayfield now encounters a Seattle defense allowing the NFL’s second-fewest yards per play (4.5), seventh-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.0), and the league’s fourth-lowest passer rating (76.4) while ranking No. 6 in sacks (12). The Seahawks are also well rested back home after Week 4’s Thursday night win at Arizona. Mayfield remains without Mike Evans (hamstring), RT Luke Goedeke (foot, I.R.), and RG Cody Mauch (knee, I.R.), while Chris Godwin (ankle surgeries) is still rounding into shape. I’d rather bet on Seattle’s D/ST than Mayfield here. … Bucky Irving (shoulder, foot) will miss at least one game and maybe two. Rachaad White is next in line for Bucs backfield work with Sean Tucker behind him. White is an adept pass catcher, and the Seahawks have given up NFL highs in both receptions (29) and receiving yards (266) to running backs.
