Thursday Night Football
Dallas @ New Orleans
Team Totals: Cowboys 26, Saints 21.5
Favored by 4.5 points at the Superdome without head coach Mike McCarthy (Covid) — he should be replaced seamlessly by Dan Quinn — the Cowboys are returning top WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) and possibly Amari Cooper (Covid). The Saints’ defense has demonstrated pass-funnel tendencies lately, surrendering top-eight fantasy scores to each of their last five quarterbacks faced. His supporting cast largely restored playing indoors against a vulnerable foe, Dak Prescott looks set up to eat. … Although Ezekiel Elliott (knee) was a full participant in this week’s practices, early-week murmurs they might scale back Zeke’s near-term workload made sense. Tony Pollard is on a tear, while Elliott has struggled to the tune of 3.06 yards per carry over Dallas’ last three games, and New Orleans has limited enemy backs to 3.24 YPC and the league’s fewest fantasy points. I’m valuing Zeke and Pollard near equally here as RB2s.
