Philadelphia @ Tampa Bay

Team Totals: Eagles 24.5, Bucs 20.5

Following a disappointing opener in which he finished as fantasy’s QB19 against New England’s stout defense, Jalen Hurts rebounded for Week 2’s QB4 score keyed by two “tush push” 1-yard goal-line sneaks. Hurts also lost a long would-be touchdown pass to A.J. Brown negated by Rashaad Penny’s holding penalty. Hurts is a top-three QB1 play each week. … In Week 2’s destruction of Minnesota, D’Andre Swift banked his highest snap rate (75%) since Week 10 of the 2021 season and ran for a career-high 175 yards on 28 carries. Context is needed in that Week 1 starter Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) was missing — he looks likely to return on Monday night — and Vikings DC Brian Flores’ game plan sold out to stop the pass, creating soft defensive fronts the Eagles’ elite offensive line simply annihilated. Swift also struggled in pass protection and has just six receiving yards on the year. Bucs HC Todd Bowles’ approach is sure to differ from Flores’, and Bucs DT Vita Vea has been a game-wrecker early in the season. Tampa Bay has yielded just 4.0 yards per carry and zero TDs to enemy backs. Swift is a boom-bust flex option here. Gainwell and Penny can’t be played, even if Boston Scott (concussion) sits.

Hurts’ Weeks 1-2 target distribution: Brown 16; DeVonta Smith 15; Dallas Goedert 8; Swift 5; Gainwell 4; Quez Watkins 2; Scott and Penny 1. … Seventh in the NFL in target share (31%) and sixth in Air Yards share (45%), Brown is an obvious #SqueakyWheel after he was caught on camera barking at Hurts on the sideline in Week 2.
