Philadelphia @ N.Y. Jets
Team Totals: Eagles 23.5, Jets 17
Fantasy’s overall QB6 scorer in Week 4 (vs. WAS) and QB3 finisher last week (@ LAR), Jalen Hurts enters Week 6 on a heater to face HC Robert Saleh’s talented Jets defense. Yet Gang Green’s rankings in terms of yards per pass attempt allowed (6.1), completion rate allowed (67%), touchdown passes allowed (7), and fantasy quarterback points allowed (18th) are fairly middling. And the Jets have conceded the NFL’s second-most QB rushing yards (163). Behind an offensive line that didn’t allow him to get hit on a single Week 5 snap, Hurts remains a confidently elite fantasy starter. … Now locked in as the Eagles’ lead back, D’Andre Swift has logged touch counts of 23, 21, 17, and 31 in Philly’s last four games. Kenneth Gainwell is a lightly-used role player. Rashaad Penny is a healthy scratch. Boston Scott plays on special teams. There are just too many factors working in Swift’s Week 6 favor to worry about his matchup at New York.
Hurts’ Weeks 1-5 target distribution: A.J. Brown 51; DeVonta Smith 34; Dallas Goedert 28; Swift 17; Gainwell 10. … Brown has looked like the NFL’s most dominant wide receiver north of Tyreek Hill this season. I placed a bet on AJB on Friday to win Offensive Player of the Year at 50-to-1 odds.
