Sunday Night Football

Atlanta @ San Francisco

Team Totals: Falcons 22.5, 49ers 24.5

Littered with coaches familiar with each other stemming from their time in the NFC West, the Falcons travel to the Bay Area on a short week following their emphatic prime-time win against the Bills. Failing to generate any amount of pressure (20.5%, 31st) without All-World EDGE Nick Bosa (torn ACL), the Niners also lost All-Pro LB Fred Warner (dislocated ankle), arguably the NFL’s best defensive player, the last time they played. Michael Penix Jr. has encouragingly posted 8.3 yards per attempt when kept clean (11th) as a streaming QB2. … Only Christian McCaffrey has logged a higher route rate (77%) than Bijan Robinson (74%) at their position, the latter leading the league in Next Gen Stats’ Rush Yards Over Expected as fantasy’s overall RB1; only the Seahawks (7.5) and Packers (7.2) are defending more pass attempts per game to enemy RBs than San Fran (6.9). Tyler Allgeier’s handled 10+ carries in four out of five appearances as an RB4/FLEX, out-carrying Bijan 8-4 inside the 10.
