Cam makes his first Panthers start since Week 2 of 2019. Longtime Carolina HC Ron Rivera and ex-OC Scott Turner will stand on the opposite sideline. Former Panther Taylor Heinicke is now Washington’s starting QB. Perhaps irresponsibly, I’m willing to bet on Newton as an upside QB1 play here. It doesn’t hurt that Washington has hemorrhaged the league’s most fantasy quarterback points and lost top EDGE rusher Chase Young to an ACL tear last week. … In two games since coming off I.R., Christian McCaffrey has banked touch counts of 18 and 23 despite limited snap rates of 49% and 59% influenced by lopsided game scripts. As this week’s game has a fairly narrow 3.5-point spread, we should see a near-full dose of McCaffrey here.
