N.Y. Giants @ Buffalo
Team Totals: Bills 29.5, Giants 14.5
New York’s team total of 14.5 is Week 6’s lowest. This is a #RevengeGame for Brian Daboll returning to Buffalo, yet Daboll’s team is severely overmatched. … Daniel Jones (neck) appears unlikely to play, elevating 34-year-old journeyman Tyrod Taylor to face a Buffalo defense leading the NFL in sacks (21). The Giants are dead last in PFF’s pass-blocking grades and seem unlikely to get back LT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) or C John Michael Schmitz (shoulder). Taylor has long been a sack waiting to happen. The Bills’ D/ST is a smash. … Saquon Barkley (ankle) looks set to miss another game. Eric Gray (13 touches) and Matt Breida (10) shared New York’s Week 5 backfield in Saquon’s absence. They’re one-game DFS options at best on a team likely to struggle to sustain offense, let alone score. … Darren Waller leads the G-Men in targets (34), catches (23), receiving yards (239), and first-down conversions (11). I’m skeptical of Taylor’s ability to deliver him the rock, but Waller’s matchup is improved by Buffalo’s loss of do-everything off-ball LB Matt Milano (broken leg). … The Giants have leaned into a three-receiver set of Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, and Wan’Dale Robinson over the last two weeks. Slayton’s 30% Air Yards share leads the team, yet he’s topped 35 yards in a game only once and is scoreless in 2023. Hyatt’s whopping 20-yard aDOT gives him spike potential on one-game DFS slates. Slot man Robinson’s 14 receptions have produced 79 scoreless yards. Everything Robinson gets is at the line of scrimmage.
Fantasy’s overall QB1 five weeks in, Josh Allen is completing a league-best 73% of his throws while averaging a career-high 8.0 yards per pass attempt. His 24.0 rushing yards per game would be a career low, however.
