The Browns’ D/ST deserves to be a popular Week 2 play; the Jets are down to their third-string left tackle in George Fant and will continue to trot out fourth-round rookie Max Mitchell on the right side. This is a blowup spot for Browns RE Myles Garrett. … Second-round pick Breece Hall failed to separate himself from incumbent Michael Carter in the preseason and was out-snapped 50 to 38 by Carter on Opening Day. Carter out-touched Hall 17 to 12, also dominating short-yardage and red-zone work. Week 2’s matchup is no pushover after the Browns’ defensive front stymied Panthers RBs to the tune of 13/41/1 (3.15 YPC) rushing last week. Only Carter is flex playable.
