Carolina @ Arizona

Team Totals: Cardinals 25, Panthers 18.5

LT Ikem Ekwonu’s (appendectomy) expected return bodes well for the Panthers’ offensive outlook, but Bryce Young’s Week 1 performance against an unimposing Jaguars defense was cause for alarm. He committed three turnovers, averaged 4.4 yards per pass attempt, and failed to engineer a touchdown drive before fourth-quarter garbage time. Young has thrown multiple TD passes in just six of 31 career starts (19%). … Even in a Week 1 game Carolina essentially trailed start to finish, Chuba Hubbard out-touched Rico Dowdle 19 to 5 and out-snapped him 43 to 22. Missing first-round DT Walter Nolen III (calf, PUP), Arizona showed Week 1 run-defense leakiness by conceding a combined rushing line of 18/78/1 (4.3 YPC) to Saints RBs. I always question Hubbard’s ceiling, but he is RB2 playable here.
