The host Dolphins enter Week 12 on a three-game win streak in which they’ve rediscovered formidable defensive form via the league’s highest blitz rate and sticky man-coverage secondary play. Cam Newton’s fantasy outlook is buoyed by his rushing production and talented weapons cast, but I’m lowering box-score expectations from last week to this week in what profiles as a low-scoring affair with Newton facing a far more complex defense. He’s a fringe QB1/2. … In Cam’s first Panthers start since September of 2019, Christian McCaffrey gobbled up 7-of-8 receiving targets on a season-high 80% playing-time clip versus Washington. Once again facing almost zero in-house competition for backfield work, McCaffrey is the top running back play on Week 12’s fantasy slate.
