Carolina @ New Orleans
Team Totals: Saints 29.25, Panthers 21.75
A foreseeable bust in last week’s loss to the Bears, Teddy Bridgewater draws a much friendlier Week 7 matchup at the Superdome to face New Orleans’ pass-funnel defense. Allowing the NFL’s fourth-most QB fantasy points per game, DC Dennis Allen’s unit has conceded 109 completions on 171 attempts (64%) for 1,276 yards (7.5 YPA) and a 15:3 TD-to-INT ratio to enemy signal callers. All five quarterbacks to face New Orleans have banked top-14 finishes, including four top-10 results. … With Christian McCaffrey (ankle) slated to sit one more week, Mike Davis is positioned for another bell-cow workload after logging 20-plus touches in each of Carolina’s last four games. Davis is a bet-on-volume RB1 against the Saints, who’ve stymied enemy backs for 121/439/3 (3.63 YPC) rushing and just 30.6 receiving yards per game.
